BlogTouch for Blogger App Reviews

Not worth buying

Bought this app to post directly to our blog via iPhone. It only uploaded reduced images (512 x 384) and was way slower doing so than uploading full resolution images with a MacBook tethered to said iPhone. Should have realized it had shortcomings when the trial version didn’t allow posting.

Please do not waste your $

I gave it 1 star because I cant go any lower. I will be contacting Apple. What a waste of 6.99. I downloaded the free app and wrote a blog post only to find out I had to buy the pro to make a post. Because the post was so long and important, I did. Well turns out it always gives you an error, had to rewrite the post on the pro app as it didnt transfer over from the free app and because it gave me an error and didnt post, I have now lost that draft. I am upset and want my money back!

App is crashing

IPhone 6s 9.2.1 OS app is crushing constantly, i was able to open it only twice. Now app is auto closing just fter pushing the app icon. You cannot add multiply photos add once. At this point in time not worth 4,99€

Best app for blogger

Batter than official Blogger app. I hope in a translation in Italian!

Blogger Touch Pro

This is an excellent app. I have used it for months and when I finally ran into a problem the man who created it contacted me and helped me through it.

Ill be blogging away...

Paid five dollars for a bunch of white screens. Emailed the developer (the only functional piece) No response. Stay away 1/2/13 update. Got a response from the support person. Must be in landscape orientation for it to function. Small but mighty detail.

Breath of fresh air

Ive been using another blog app for a while now but the editing and it has been replaced with this. The ability to format text alone is a wonderful step up but when you add the ability to edit old posts Witt having to wade through HTML it becomes a slam dunk. I only edit in landscape mode so that limitation is no big deal. I havent tried using it to schedule posts but if it can do that then so much the better, but with all the other functionality I really dont care. Id say this ipad app come pretty close to making it unnecessary for me to do any editing on my laptop, and that is a welcome thing.

Great App!

So much easier than Blog Docs. Just remember LANDSCAPE ONLY. Video tutorial is a gem.

Great app, great support

Great alternative to the blogger app. Looks and feels much better. I did run into one issue where blogs that werent mine were showing up in this app, however I can NOT edit them in any way. I contacted the developer who got back with me in under 24 hours and investigated. Turns out its a google issue; the app is at the mercy of the information it receives from google. This bug will not stop me from using the app!

Finally a Blogger app worth using...

Update: Portrait Mode now has a proper user interface. I am compelled to say that BlogTouch is now the perfect Blogger app! I gave up looking for a Blogger app a long time ago. Curious if anything has recently changed, I searched and found this gem. It does everything I expect it to, feels a lot like using the Blogger website, and even has support for app passwords (the Google specific one-time app authorization password). Edited: BTW, I contacted the developer for support, and received a timely response.

This does exactly what I need Just the way I need it.

This does exactly what I need Just the way I need it. It is that simple.

Only 1/2 page

The document to type in only allows a half a page. If you have more to type, the cursor disappears behind the page. If we had a full page to type on, this would probably get a higher rating.

Wow, outstanding blogging app!

This is a remarkably good blogging app for Googles blogging platform. In the past Ive used both Googles own app and also, while I was blogging at Wordpress, I used the Wordpress app for iPad. Neither of those is as good as BlogTouch. The user interface is easy to understand and easy to use. But what is surprising is how powerful it is. With other apps I was always aware of being a bit handicapped on the iPad and so I did most of my blogging on my computer. But BlogTouch seems to be able to do everything I want to do: easy adding links, inserting a picture, editing text, etc. If I had to complain about something I might say that the app isnt the prettiest one I use, but its not ugly and this is a minor quibble not worth taking points off for. All in all an excellent and very useful app. Well worth the few bucks it costs!

handy as supplement to web Blogger form

App works well but iOS7 spell check is terrible, so I use BlogTouch as a supplement to the web form for Blogger. I would never publish anything but a draft from the app. On an iPad, BlogTouch is much easier to use than the web form for Blogger, but frankly, the spell check functionality on my Windows 7 desktop protects me from embarrassing myself, whereas in iOS7 it is hit or miss.

Cool

Nice and Cool!

Crashes and doesnt work

Just got this app and unfortunately the app crashes every time I try to load my blog. Crap!

Amazing Application

This is the best Blogger app out there; a must to download! Being able to create and edit Blogger post has never been so easy.

Only public blogs?

I have a sign-in-to-read blog for grandparents to keep up with the grand kids. I dont want to make it public. But the app keeps saying I have no posts. So I guess this app only works with public blogs? Bummer.

Crashes often

I was excited to get this app, but it crashes often and I get unclear error messages most times when I post. Time to delete it.

Lots of Pros and Cons

For starters the app is extremely easy to use. It allows you to do so much more with your posts than the Blogger app. I like the fact that you can customize the look of you blog by changing fonts, adding colors and connecting links. The cons are that it crashes a lot and doesnt allow you to go back and forth between apps without closing. Once closed, you have a hard time figuring out where your draft went and once you do find it, its usually not all of the content you previously had. You either have to wait a while for it to recover or retype what youve previously written. Pretty frustrating. Hopefully those glitches will be worked out. This has the potential to be a very useful app. What is like to see is a way to insert videos into your post.
